A horrific road accident took place late Sunday night in Jalukbari area of Assam’s capital Guwahati. 7 engineering students were killed and many were injured in this accident. It is being told that all the Scorpios were in the car. Meanwhile, an accident occurred when his vehicle collided with a mini truck and crashed into a divider on the Jalukbari flyover.
Joint Commissioner of Police, Guwahati, Thube Prateek Vijay Kumar said that the horrific road accident took place on Jalukbari flyover on Sunday night. At least seven students of Assam Engineering College (AEC) died tragically in this road accident. He said that the accident occurred due to the driver of the Scorpio car losing control of the vehicle.
All the people killed in the accident have been identified. The deceased have been identified as Aridam Bhawal and Neor Deka, residents of Guwahati, Kaushik Mohan, resident of Shivsagar, Upanshu Sarmah, resident of Nagaon, Raj Kiran Bhuiya, resident of Majuli, Iman Barua, resident of Dibrugarh, Kaushik Barua, resident. Mangaldoi. All were sixth semester students of an engineering college.
Three other students Marunmay Bora, Arnav Chakraborty and Arpan Bhuya were injured in the accident. Along with this, the condition of the driver and the cleaner of the DI pickup van who were victims of the accident is also critical. All have been admitted to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for immediate treatment.
