Asia Cup: Big team announced before Asia Cup 2023, veteran player suddenly made head coach

New head coach of Pakistan team: Pakistan will host the Asia Cup 2023 in the month of September. Before this tournament, the Pakistan cricket team has made a big announcement. Grant Bradburn has been appointed as the head coach of the Pakistan cricket team. He will lead the coaching panel of the team for the next two years.

Bradburn is well aware of the strength and selection of the Pakistan team. He previously served as the fielding coach of the Pakistan team from 2018 to 2020, after which he moved to the National Cricket Academy to work on coach development. Prior to his role in Pakistan, former New Zealand cricketer Bradburn served as the head coach of the Scotland men’s team.

PCB Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi said, “I am delighted to nominate Grant Bradburn as the head coach of our men’s team. Bradburn joins the team with rich coaching experience. Having worked with our men’s team before and through the National Cricket Academy, he understands our culture and philosophy of cricket very well and is the ideal candidate to take our team forward.

Explaining his appointment and strategy as the head coach of the men’s team, Grant Bradburn said, ‘It is a great honor for me to work as head coach with a very talented and skilful team like Pakistan. We are working hard. Grant Bradburn added, ‘We have raised the bar of expectations and we will continue to challenge our players.’
