Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday met former Delhi government minister Satyendra Jain, who was admitted to LNJP Hospital. After which Arvind Kejriwal tweeted about his former minister – ‘Today I met such a brave person who is the hero of today’s world.’
It may be mentioned that this was the first meeting between the two leaders in the hospital after almost a year of their arrest in the money laundering case. Delighted to meet his party leader at the meeting, Kejriwal hugged Jain and called him his hero and brave and shared a picture of the meeting on Twitter.
Hospital visit
It may be noted that Satyendra Jain, the former health minister in the Delhi government, collapsed in the bathroom of Tihar Jail due to dizziness, after which he was admitted to DDU Hospital and as his condition worsened, he was shifted to LNJP Hospital. Smiles are seen on the faces of both the leaders in this meeting.
Bail after a long time
Let it be known that Satyendra Jain was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on 30 May 2022 in a money laundering case. He sought bail several times citing health problems. He fainted in Tihar Jail bathroom on Thursday and was rushed to hospital. On Friday, the Supreme Court granted him bail for 42 days.
