Director Anurag Kashyap’s film ‘Kennedy’ received a standing ovation for 7 minutes at the ‘Cannes Film Festival’. The film was screened in the midnight screening category at ‘The Grand Lumiere Theatre’ at 12:15 local time in France. After the screening of the film, the audience stood up and gave the film a standing ovation for 7 minutes. During this, Anurag Kashyap’s friend Vikramaditya Motwani was also present. Along with this, actors Rahul Bhatt, Sunny Leone, Sharik Patel, Ranjan Singh, Kabir Ahuja, Bhumika Tiwari, Neeraj Joshi, Ashima Awasthi were also seen in the film festival along with Anurag Kashyap.
The story of the film is based on a police officer who suffers from insomnia and is on a search mission between different countries. Talking to the media about the screening of his film, Anurag said, It is a special thing to be able to present your film to the world at a film festival like Cannes. Screening my film at The Grand Lumiere Theater is a lifetime achievement for me.’ Anurag further said that ‘Kennedy’ is a very special film for me. I have a personal feeling with this film. I put my whole heart and mind into making this film. The audience gave Flemmi a 7-minute standing ovation. I am thankful to him for this.
