Anuppur, May 19 (Hindustan Times). MP 65 ZA car number 1002 was set on fire by unidentified persons on the banks of river Alan in Bodai Tola of Kaparia village of Venkatnagar Chowk on Thursday night. Due to which the car was completely burnt to ashes. On Friday morning, people in the vicinity informed the Venkatnagar police. The police who reached the spot seized the car and kept it at the check post and conducted investigation.
Balendra Singh, in-charge of Venkatnagar Chowki, said that on receiving information from the villagers about the car catching fire, they reached the spot and inspected the spot, where the car was completely gutted. After which the matter has been taken up for investigation by keeping the car parked at the checkpoint. At the same time, no information has been recorded on behalf of the vehicle owner or the driver.
He said that the vehicle is registered in the name of Ramesh Rajak, a resident of Bhad village under Bhalumda police station area. Talking to him, the vehicle owner said that his son-in-law Vinod Ratjak, who lived in Cholna, had come to Bhad village with a car at night, had slept outside the house. Meanwhile, unknown thieves stole the car. The vehicle owner says he does not know how his car reached Lehsuna village and who set it on fire.
