Announcement of increase of 250 rupees in the pension of dwarfs and eunuchs in Haryana

Chandigarh: The Haryana government has announced to increase the allowance of dwarfs and eunuchs to Rs 2,750 per month. The increased amount of allowance will be applicable from 1 April 2023. Haryana Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Om Prakash Yadav gave this information after a review meeting of the department here on Tuesday.

He said that to get the allowance under both these schemes, a person should be a resident of Haryana and should be at least 18 years of age. For midget allowance, height of male should be 3 feet 8 inches and height of female should be 3 feet 3 or less. To get the allowance under both the categories, the applicant has to produce the civil surgeon’s certificate as well. Yadav said that the amount of old age honorarium, widow pension, disability pension and Ladli Social Security Allowance scheme has also been increased from April 1, 2023. Now this amount has been increased from Rs.2500 to Rs.2750 per month. Apart from this, the amount of assistance given to destitute children has also been increased to 1850 rupees per month. This assistance will be given to a family of maximum two children. He said that the assistance given to disabled children who do not go to school till the age of 18 years has also been increased to Rs 2150.

The Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment informed that the amount of assistance for Kashmiri families coming to Haryana after being displaced from Jammu and Kashmir has been increased to Rs 1,250 per member, but the amount will not exceed Rs 6,250 per family. .
