Dhamtari, May 19 (His) An integrated building will be constructed in the premises of District Hospital Dhamtari at a cost of 6.76 crores. Patients will get all kinds of facilities inside the hospital. A soil test was done for the new integrated building. Now it remains to be seen what the situation is for two storied buildings. Further action will be taken after the soil test report is received.

There is a constant demand to demolish the existing building of the district hospital built in the year 1976 and construct a new building, as the building is old and dilapidated. After repairing the building, somehow the work is going on. Installment amount was sanctioned for various facilities in the district hospital. A proposal was sent to the government to combine these installments and build an integrated building. After getting approval from the government, CGMC is preparing to start the construction work. Under this process engineers from CGMC Raipur and Polytechnic College Dhamtari took samples to test the soil of the district hospital premises.

A soil test is done to find out the load capacity of the site concerned or how much load it can bear. After receiving the test report, the tender process will be done by creating a tender steamt. The G-Plus II building will be constructed at a cost of 6.76 crores. A government hospital established in 1976 at Dhamtari had 50 beds. After the formation of Dhamtari district in the year 1998, it was renamed as District Hospital. Facilities also continued to grow. Today this hospital has 235 beds.

Three and a half meters of excavated land

CGMC Engineer Tikeshwar Sahu excavated soil to a depth of three and a half meters to test the surface of District Hospital Dhamtari. After this, the load capacity of the soil was tested by applying hydraulic pressure.
