Amit Shah called the contribution of four Gujaratis important in the history of modern India

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that four Gujaratis have made important contributions in the history of modern India. Among these four Gujaratis he named Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Morarji Desai and (current Prime Minister) Narendra Modi. Addressing as the chief guest at the ceremony of 125 years of Sri Delhi Gujarati Samaj, Amit Shah said that today India’s success is spreading all over the world because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said, the Gujarati community is all over the country and the world and has always blended well while serving any society. Praising the work done by Gujarati society in Delhi, he said that Gujarati society has got its own unique identity.

Referring to the nine-year tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shah said that the country has achieved many achievements during this period. He said that in 2014 India’s economy was ranked 11th in the world, today after nine years the Indian economy is ranked fifth in the world.

He said that under the decisive leadership of Modi, India has sent a message to the world by carrying out surgical and air strikes that no one can compromise India’s border. Shah said India has become the world’s largest mobile manufacturer, third in start-ups and fourth in energy.

Amit Shah said that the country got freedom because of Gandhiji, the country got united because of Sardar Sahib, the democracy of the country was revived because of Morarji Desai and the name of India came to the world because of Narendra Modi. He said that these four Gujarati celebrities have done a great job and they are the pride of the entire country.
