Some US states do not allow abortion for women and girls. This rule also applies to Texas. In September 2021, Texas banned abortion after about 6 weeks of pregnancy. However, later exemption was given in case of medical emergency. Now because of these rules, a 26 year old girl lost her life. After getting the girl aborted in another state, her boyfriend shot her dead. The accused is currently in jail.
According to the police, Gabriela Gonzalez had returned from Colorado. She had her abortion. When 22-year-old Harold Thomson came to know about this, he became furious. CCTV cameras installed in the parking lot revealed that the accused had driven the car a little further to avoid the cameras. Later, in a fit of rage, he pushed the girl out of the car and took away the monkey. When the girl tried to run away, she was shot in the head. The suspect shot Gonzalez several times before fleeing.
Thomson was arrested by the police on Wednesday. He is currently lodged in Dallas Jail. The girl’s sister was present near the spot. He heard the gunshot. One person said that Gonzalez did not have a phone and could not call the police. A case has already been registered against Thomson. He is accused of assault and strangulation of a family member.
