Washington: Seventeen people were arrested following a multi-agency investigation into the shooting incidents at 11 locations, including a Sacramento, California shrine. Two of the 17 Sikhs are facing murder charges in multiple cases in India, while two others are wanted in criminal cases.
Cases are going on in India against Pavitra Singh and Hussaindeep Singh
According to a spokesperson for the Attorney General of California, the two Sikhs facing murder charges in India are Pavitra Singh and Hussaindeep Singh. Although his nationality has not been disclosed yet, he is believed to be still an Indian citizen and his asylum application is pending.
Sikhs have a criminal gang in Yuba
Federal law enforcement agencies and Northern California police have arrested 17 people in connection with the shootings in Stockton and Sacramento and elsewhere. They were all around Yuba City. There are two rival Sikh criminal gangs in the city. The two rival gangs are called ‘Minta Group’ and ‘AK 47 Group’. The leader of the first group is Minta. Both the gangs have at least 30 members.
many weapons recovered
The law enforcement agencies have arrested the gang members and recovered several dangerous weapons. The agency has seized 41 weapons during the probe. The weapons included AR15s, AK-47s, handguns, and at least one machine gun. The two persons arrested by the agency – Dharamveer Singh alias Minta and Jobanjit Singh – were stopped on their way to Manteka, where they were allegedly going to commit the murder with pistols and weapons.
