Kanpur (Kanhapur): The Modi government at the center and the Yogi government in the state are trying to take public welfare schemes to the masses. The Yogi government has given strict instructions to strengthen the fishing community. For the upcoming session 2023-24 to promote the schemes run by the government as well as seeking applications for grant and cooperation amount, UP Fisheries Directorate Director Prashant Sharma has issued instructions. He has instructed all Divisional Officers of State Fisheries Department and District Fisheries Officers of Districts to prepare for receiving applications.
Kanpur District Fisheries Officer A.K. Agarwal said on Tuesday that the central government’s scheme for the welfare of the fishing community
1- Prime Minister’s Fisheries Resource Scheme,
2- Fishermen Welfare Fund,
3-Nishad Raj Boat Subsidy Scheme,
4-Fisherman Accident Insurance Scheme,
5-Kisan Credit Card
With these five schemes running in the state, continuous efforts are being made to strengthen the fishing community. The Yogi government has prepared a comprehensive outline for the upcoming session 2023-24. A notification has been issued by the Directorate of Fisheries that all the above schemes should be promoted in every district to benefit them. So that the information reaches the people before May 20. So that more and more people apply to avail the schemes. The District Fisheries Officer said that from May 20, people from the fishing community will be appealed to apply online.
