Abuja: After Germany, now  a big accident has happened during a Christmas celebration program in Nigeria. A stampede occurred during the distribution of donations and food items in two programs of Nigeria Christmas celebration. The death toll in this has gone up to 32. Police gave this information on Sunday. He said that suddenly a huge crowd gathered to get food items and due to the stampede many people fell, due to which many people died.

Police spokesman Tochukwu Ikenga said the first incident took place in Okija town in the southeastern Anambra state, where 22 people were killed. A stampede broke out in the crowd when a philanthropist had organized a food distribution event in Okija on the occasion of Christmas. Apart from this, a church in the capital Abuja had organized a program to distribute food and clothes. Ten people have been confirmed dead in the stampede during this event. (AP)
