Lucknow Zafaryab Jilani, the lawyer for the Muslim side in the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi case, died at a hospital in Nishatganj, Lucknow. Muslim Personal Law Board Secretary and Babri Masjid Action Committee Convenor Zafaryab Jilani had been ill for some time. People working in the legal field, political leaders, religious leaders and well-wishers of Jilani are mourning the death of Zafaryab Jilani.
Religious leader Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali expressed his condolences and said that Zafaryab Jilani’s body will be buried in the graveyard at Aishbagh. His death has caused a wave of mourning in the society. All the members of the Muslim Personal Law Board have expressed grief over the death of Zafaryab in their statement.
