Chandigarh, May 14 (Hindustan Times). Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij on Sunday conducted a surprise inspection of Narwana’s Sadar police station by suddenly stopping his vehicle on his way to Hisar from Ambala. Five police personnel, including the SHO of the police station, were given notice of suspension for various defects and deficiencies found there.
The employees suspended during the inspection include Sadar Police Station SHO Sub-Inspector Balwan Singh, Head-Constables Sandeep and Ramniwas, Constables Kuldeep Kumar and Raman. After a surprise inspection, Vij said in a media talk that many types of malpractices have been observed in the police station and people’s documents are pending for many months and people’s work is not being done in even a single seat and these seats are for weeks. is That is why five police personnel including the SHO have been ordered to be suspended today.
Vij has today directed the Superintendent of Police, Jind, to listen to the complaints of the complainants in the police station and take further action to redress them. He said that many applications have been received from the passport verification seat during investigation and no action has been taken on these applications by the concerned police personnel, hence the employees of this seat have been suspended. Similarly, a policeman has been suspended for not registering a case in online TTNS as newly uploaded cases were pending on TTNS for last 7 to 8 days. Similarly, a report was sought under the application of the Market Committee regarding the insurance to be given in respect of death at work in the sectors related to the Chief Minister’s Insurance Scheme, the report of which was pending. The person on whose desk this report was pending has also been suspended.
He said that similarly the Munshi has been suspended and the SHO of the police station has been suspended for negligence as he has no control over the work of any seat in the police station. He said that he did not find any work properly in Narwana Sadar Police Station. During the inspection, Vij scolded the HHO of the police station and said that the SHO had no control over any seat and had completely mismanaged.
He said that none of the seats are working properly. He said people were sitting in long queues at the police station and since then they needed justice. Vij also interacted with the complainants/complainants present at the police station and sought information about the applications of certain applicants and instructed the concerned staff to dispose of the same. After conducting a surprise check, the Home Minister stopped his vehicle and met the officials of Rasta Bachao Sangharsh Samiti and also assured to take appropriate action on the petition given by them.
