Accused found guilty in rape and murder of innocent girl

Mathura: In the case of rape and murder of a nine-year-old girl in the district, the court of Special Judge Poxoni convicted the accused within 15 days of filing the charge sheet. The convict will be sentenced on May 29.

Giving this information on Friday, Special DGC Pocso Court Advocate Alka Upmanyu, appearing for the government, said that a nine-year-old child went missing on the evening of April 8 in Aurangabad area of ​​Mathura. The child’s father filed a missing complaint at the Sadar Bazar police station.

Seeing the possibility of an unpleasant incident, the police started searching for the child. A nearby CCTV camera was found, showing the child with Saif, who works at a Thai shop in the neighbourhood. After this, the police arrested Saif and interrogated him. On Saif’s request, the body of the missing child was found in a drain five hundred meters away from the house.

During interrogation accused Saif stated that he had taken the child with him. He raped the child near a drain a little away from the house. At the same time, he was afraid of revealing his identity, which led him to strangle the child with an iron spring. The police have registered a case against the killer Saif under serious sections and sent him to jail. All the evidence against him was collected and the charge sheet was presented before the court.

The Special DGC said that the allegation of the incident came to the court on April 28. The accused was charged in court on May 2. There were 14 witnesses in total. The first testimony was taken on 8th May and all were completed on 18th May. The final debate took place on 22 May. On May 26, Special Judge POCSO Act Judge Ramkishore Yadav convicted accused Saif and reserved the decision. He will be sentenced on May 29. If a working day is added, the charge is proved within 15 days. Sahab Singh Deshwar, former secretary of the Bar Association, appeared on behalf of the plaintiff in this case.
