Even after the Supreme Court’s decision, the Center’s bullying of transfer postings in Delhi continues. After the Supreme Court gave power to the Delhi government, now that the central government is bringing the ordinance, the Aam Aadmi Party has got the support of the Congress.

Now the Aam Aadmi Party has opened a front on the ordinance and appealed to the opposition parties to come together as the tug-of-war between the Center and the Delhi government is not ending. After Kejriwal’s appeal, Congress has now supported Aam Aadmi Party.

Politics is at a fever pitch after the central government’s ordinance regarding the transfer-posting rights of officers in Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party has now got the support of Congress in the ongoing tug of war between the Kejriwal government and the Lt Governor.

After appealing for cooperation from the opposition against the central government’s bullying, the Congress made it clear that it would oppose the central ordinance. Speaking to the media on Monday, senior party leader KC Venugopal said that the Congress will oppose the Delhi Ordinance brought in Parliament.

Let us also tell you here that earlier Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appealed for the support of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha to stop the central government’s ordinance from becoming a law.

After the appeal, Kejriwal is also meeting opposition leaders. In this sequence, Arvind Kejriwal will meet TMC president Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata on May 23. Then there will be a meeting with Uddhav Thackeray on May 24 and Sharad Pawar on May 25.

It may be noted that after the decision of the Supreme Court on May 19, the central government has brought an ordinance giving the lieutenant governor the right to transfer officers and posts. The Aam Aadmi Party termed the ordinance as undemocratic and in contempt of the Supreme Court order.
