According to the notification of the Ministry of Finance, a coin of 75 rupees will be launched on the occasion of the inauguration of the new Parliament House. The weight of this coin will be 35 grams. It will have a mixture of 50 percent silver and 40 percent copper. 5 percent each of nickel and zinc metal.

On the face of this new coin of 75 rupees, the value of 75 rupees will be written under the Ashoka pillar. Apart from this, India will be written in Hindi and English on the right and left sides. The other side of the coin will have a picture of the new Parliament House, with Parliament Complex in Hindi on the top and English below. The year 2023 will be written below the picture of Parliament.

The coin will be minted at the Calcutta Mint

This coin is being minted at the Kolkata Mint of the Government of India. It will be launched by PM Modi during the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House. The Finance Ministry has said that keeping in mind the rules of the first schedule, these coins will be minted.

Opposition of some political parties

Let us tell you that political activities have intensified in the country regarding the new Parliament House. Several political parties, including the Congress, have announced to boycott the inauguration of the new Parliament building. Opposition parties argue that the new Parliament building should be inaugurated by the President and not the Prime Minister.

The new Parliament House has 888 seats for the Lok Sabha and the Visitors’ Gallery has seating for more than 336 people.
