The BCCI has invited the presidents of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan to watch the IPL final in Ahmedabad and there will be a meeting between the presidents of all these boards in which the final decision on the Asia Cup will be taken. It is believed that Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are supporting the BCCI.
Afghanistan is also in favor of the board and if there is a vote to host the Asia Cup, Afghanistan’s vote will be crucial. The Afghan board cannot afford to spoil its relations with the BCCI in view of the upcoming series against India. As cricketers from these three countries are playing in IPL, they cannot go against the board.
