Rajouri: A body of a person was found in a forest area of ​​Rajouri district on Saturday.

An official said the man had gone to collect wood from nearby forests but did not return. After this, the family informed the police and a police team recovered the body from the forest of Ghai. The deceased has been identified as Zafar Iqbal, Murid Hussain Mughal, Rah Gambhir Mughalan Hatton Seri, Rajouri.

Confirming the incident, a police official said that an investigation under Section 174/CrPC has been initiated. He said the body was shifted to Rajouri’s sub-district hospital Manjakot for post-mortem and after medico-legal formalities the body was handed over to the next of kin.
