White House appeals to PM Modi, ask Russia to end the war in Ukraine
Russia has begun an exercise to annex four parts of Ukraine and has threatened the West with a nuclear attack if it disrupts it. Russia has also ordered 300,000 reserve troops to be ready as part of the final phase of the war. Seeing Putin’s anger, the White House has urged PM Modi to persuade Russia to implement his advice to end the war in Ukraine.
Putin himself said that he is ready to go to any extent to protect Russia. He also warned Western countries that his words should not be taken lightly. Prime Minister Modi recently taught the lesson of peace to Russian President Vladimir Putin during bilateral talks. Many other western countries including America and France also praised Prime Minister Modi for this.
During his meeting with Putin in Samarkand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘Now is not the era of war. You cannot conquer your neighboring country by force. US National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan welcomed Modi’s remarks to Putin at the SCO summit last week as a principled statement.
