US defends Modi’s role in 2002 riots
Washington: The United States strongly defended Narendra Modi’s role in the 2002 riots in Gujarat, when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. However, in response to a question asked by journalists in this regard, Ned Price said that he had no information about that documentary. I haven’t even seen it. All I can say is that there is a political and economic partnership between India and America. Both the democracies are growing fast. Both share common values and there is growing political and economic cooperation between the two at the global level as well.
Significantly, last week British Prime Minister Rishi Shunke also praised Narendra Modi and said that I cannot agree with the details given in it.
Notably, the documentary was not shot in Ahmedabad but in Hyderabad. That’s why it cannot be called a documentary.
