UAE gets new President: Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed to be next President after Sheikh Khalifa’s death
New Delhi: Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will be the new President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to Khaleej Times, the 61-year-old leader has been appointed as the country’s third president. He is the brother of Sheikh Khalifa. This decision was taken after the death of President Sheikh Khalifa.
The Federal Supreme Council of the UAE has elected Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, as its new chairman, the report said. A meeting was held at the Al-Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi to elect a new president, chaired by the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed. He was received by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates.
