What is the theme of this year’s International Family Day

The theme of International Families Day 2022 is ‘Family and Urbanisation’. It aims to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable family-friendly urban policies. Its theme in 2021 was Family and New Technologies.

Why is International Family Day celebrated?

World Family Day 2022 is celebrated every year on 15 May to show the importance of family and its usefulness. The main objective of International Family Day is to make the youth aware of the family so that the youth understand their responsibility towards the family and do not shy away from it. This day is also known as the day of peace and sharing.

 

How does International Family Day begin?

International Families Day 2022 was started in 1993. When the United Nations General Assembly declared this year the International Year of the Family. Since then, International Families Day is celebrated on 15 May every year since 1996.
