Reyansh became yoga guru at the age of just 9, entered the Guinness Book of World Records

At an age where children are living in a world of games and dreams, 9-year-old Reyansh has become an expert yoga teacher. Yes, recently at the age of nine years and 220 days, an Indian child became the youngest certified yoga instructor in the world, setting a Guinness World Record.

Indian-origin Guinness World Record holder Reyansh Surani lives with his family in Dubai. At the age of just 4, he started doing yoga with his parents. After completing a 200-hour yoga teacher training course, Rayansh received his certificate from Anand Shekhar Yoga School on July 27, 2021.

A report in the Guinness World Records website states that when Reyansh came to know that his parents were attending a yoga teacher’s training course in Rishikesh, he decided to become a yoga instructor. “When I started doing yoga with my parents, I started enjoying it and got interested in it,” he said in an interview.

During the training, Rayanshe learned many aspects of yoga, such as “alignment, physical philosophy and nutritional facts of Ayurveda”. Gradually his attitude towards yoga started changing. “At first, I thought yoga was only about body posture and breathing, but it was much more than that,” he said.

Due to Corona’s protocol, he currently teaches people in small private classes. At school, she teaches her peers in groups of 10-15 children per semester. “I am glad that I am able to pass on my experience and knowledge to people around the world for their good,” he said.

 

Reyansh is feeling “like a star” after being recognized by the Guinness World Records. He is the first person in his community and school to receive this honour. Guinness World Records has also shared a YouTube video in which Reyansh is seen practicing yoga and sharing his journey.
