Pakistan Economic Crisis: The economic condition of Pakistan is getting worse day by day. The country is passing through another major problem with the economic crisis. The rate of unemployment in the country is continuously increasing. Thousands of Pakistanis are losing their jobs every day. Meanwhile, the report of Pakistani newspaper Dawn has increased the concern of everyone including the Prime Minister of the country. Actually, according to the newspaper, in the year 2023, the total number of unemployed can be close to 62.5 lakhs.

According to a newspaper report, 8.5 percent of the total workforce in Pakistan will be unemployed this year. This is a matter of concern for the debt-ridden country. If the unemployment rate increases in Pakistan, it will break the back of the country’s development. As of January 13, Pakistan now has foreign exchange reserves of only $4.6 billion.

There is also a concern that if the number of unemployed in Pakistan is so high, then it is possible that terrorists can incite these youth against India by paying them less money. Refinery, textile, iron, automobile and fertilizer related products are on the verge of closure in Pakistan for the last few months. Lakhs of unemployed are also a cause of concern for India.

Pakistan is going through an economic crisis. He begs all over the world. Shahbaz Sharif has requested for talks with India. The current situation in Pakistan is such that people are dependent on even essential commodities. Meanwhile, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) spokesman Hafiz Hamdullah has said that the general elections will be postponed if the country’s economy does not improve. That means the general elections to be held in Pakistan will be postponed. PDM spokesperson Hafiz Hamdullah said this to Pakistani news channel Geo News.

Hamdullah has blamed the Imran Khan government for the country’s economic plight. He sarcastically said that the condition in which Pakistan is today is because of the policies of the Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. Geo News said that currently Pakistan is making efforts to increase its foreign exchange reserves. The State Bank of Pakistan owes $4.601 billion. This amount is enough to pay for only four weeks’ worth of imports.
