Oh God! Corona vaccine saved 42 lakh lives in India

The vaccine made to control the coronavirus has proved to be life-saving for India as well as other countries. While the vaccine has saved over 42 lakh lives in India, it has prevented over 20 million deaths worldwide. This is according to data from December 2020 to December 2021 of the Lancet study journal. Researchers said that 3.14 million people were estimated to die from the corona worldwide, but the vaccination saved 1.98 million lives.

The study estimates that another 5,99,300 lives could have been saved if the World Health Organization’s target of vaccinating 40 percent of the population in each country with two or more doses by the end of 2021.

“For India, we estimate that vaccination prevented more than 4.2 million deaths during this period,” said study lead author Oliver Watts. Studies show that vaccination campaigns in India have saved millions of lives. This reflects the significant impact of vaccination, especially in India, which was the first country to experience the effects of the delta variant.

According to the Lancet study, more than 51 lakh people were estimated to have died during the corona epidemic in India, but millions of lives were saved by corona vaccination. It is noteworthy that since the beginning of the epidemic in India, 5,24,941 people have died. That is, vaccination proved to be so effective that 10 times fewer people died.
