Imran Khan gets relief from court, gets interim bail in 15 cases
ISLAMABAD, June 24 (H.S.). After being ousted from power, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, who is facing all the cases and court action, has got a big relief from the court. He has got interim bail till July 6 in 15 cases.
After the ouster of former Pakistan Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Imran Khan from power, his supporters staged protests across the country. Cases were filed against Imran Khan in different cities of Pakistan for inciting his supporters to protest and violent demonstrations. During the Azadi March, a hearing was held against Imran in the court of District and Sessions Court Judge Kamran Basharat Mufti on charges like illegal assembly, inciting riots, demonstration with deadly weapons, arson.
During the hearing, Imran Khan appeared with his lawyer Babar Awan. The judge, after hearing the arguments of the lawyers, has granted interim bail against Imran Khan in 15 different cases registered with the Karachi company. Along with this, the court has restrained the local police from making his arrest. The court has summoned the details of these cases from the police. The matter will now come up for hearing on July 6.
