Elon Musk to remove ban from Donald Trump’s Twitter account, return to social media platform
London : Tesla Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Elon Musk has said that he will lift the permanent ban on former US President Donald Trump on Twitter. Musk, who is implementing Twitter’s acquisition plan, made the remarks via video conference while addressing a conference on the future of cars. Tesla chief executive Musk described himself as a “free speech” supporter after buying Twitter. He signed a $44 billion deal to buy Twitter.
Twitter ban on Trump stupid
It is speculated that he may become the temporary CEO of the company after completing his purchase of Twitter. Speaking at the Future of the Car Summit organized by the Financial Times, Musk said the Twitter ban on Trump was a “morally bad decision”. He termed the internet media company’s decision as “very stupid”. He said that permanent ban on accounts by Twitter should be in rare cases and such steps should be taken for risky or automated accounts.
Trump imposed sanctions after violence in Parliament
Trump’s account was blocked by Twitter on January 6 last year after thugs entered the US House of Representatives. At the same time, Trump recently said that he has no intention of returning to Twitter. However the company does not restore their account for a fee.
Trump does not intend to return to Twitter
In an interview with TV channel Fox News last month, Trump said he would rather focus on his platform, Truth Social, than going back to Twitter. It’s been in trouble since its launch earlier this year. At the same time, Trump hoped that Musk would improve Twitter by buying it. However, Trump has not yet commented on Elon Musk’s remarks.
