The ground in Afghanistan was shaken by Wednesday’s earthquake. A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck the area. According to disaster management officials, at least 250 people died in the quake in the country. This figure may increase further. Apart from this, about 150 people are reported to be injured.

According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the quake was about 44 km from the Afghan city of Khost at a depth of 51 km. The earthquake was so strong that it shook Lahore, Multan and Quetta in neighboring Pakistan. Apart from this, earthquake tremors have also occurred in India.

Earlier on Tuesday night earthquake shook Pakistan. At 06.24 GMT, a magnitude 6.1 earthquake shook the area. It is a matter of relief that there is no report of any casualty in the earthquake in Pakistan. Apart from this, earthquake tremors were also felt in Malaysia late in the night. The magnitude of the earthquake here was 5.1.

Earlier in the day the earthquake shook Pakistan. The biggest tremors were felt in Islamabad, Peshawar, Rawalpindi and Multan. Tremors were felt in Faisalabad, Abbottabad, Swat, Buner, Kohat and Malkandi.
