Meanwhile Chris said that this is a huge responsibility for me. I am ready to take on the challenges and responsibilities that come my way. The Labor Party in New Zealand has been in power since 2017, so the anti-incumbency wave is high. According to a report, New Zealand is currently struggling with inflation and social equality. Due to which the popularity of the Labor Party has decreased significantly. All this will be a big challenge in front of Chris.

Significantly, 44-year-old Chris Hipkins was first elected MP in 2008. Before becoming Prime Minister, he was the Minister of Police, Education and Public Service. Chris has become Prime Minister after the resignation of Jacinda Ardern. However, there is no information about how long he will remain in this post. This is because there will be general elections in New Zealand in October 2023. Chris Hipkins was made the Covid minister in 2020 to deal with the pandemic. During that time Chris’s work was appreciated all over the world.

Please tell that today was Jacinda Ardern’s last day as Prime Minister. During this, she looked very emotional. All the MLAs hugged in the Parliament House. She then proceeded to Government House, where she formally submitted her resignation to King Charles. While announcing her resignation on January 19, Jesinda had said that now the time has come. I don’t have the guts to lead for another 4 years.
