China crop in PoK- Balochistan. Construction of bunkers for missiles started
China is desperate to increase its influence in neighboring countries. Under this, the Chinese army has started building missile bunkers in Pakistan. Intelligence reports had claimed that military build-up had begun in Pakistan-occupied parts of Kashmir and Balochistan, and the Indian Army would remain vigilant to monitor these developments.
The China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is now likely to be closed under China’s ambitious plan One Belt and Road Initiative. The work of CPEC has come to a standstill, especially in Balochistan, due to heavy protests, the work has been forced to stop. Since the project has cost a lot, now China has instead started building missile bunkers for the Pakistan Army. According to intelligence reports, China will carve hills in Pakistan’s Singh province, Balochistan and parts of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to build missile bases. China has taken up this project for the Pakistan Army because keeping missiles in the cave naturally protects it. In such a situation, China has started maintaining its influence in Pakistan. China wants to increase its reach to India’s border by making a missile bunker.
Chinese companies and the Chinese military are known to be proficient in bunkers and military construction. China is planning to build such bunkers in Pakistan to strengthen the Pakistani army against India. A missile regiment of the Pakistan Army is stationed in Khujdar, Balochistan. Bunkers are being built for this. There is also speculation that China wants to increase cooperation with the Pakistan Army by creating a safe haven for its weapons.
