Yoga was done in the district on the eighth International Yoga Day
Auraiya, 21 June (H.S.). To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the country’s independence, yogasanas were organized at many places in the district under the Amrit Mahotsav program of independence.
On the occasion of 08th International Yoga Day being celebrated on Tuesday, 21st June, Yoga programs were organized at various places in the district on the basis of the theme “Yoga for Humanity”. In this sequence, a grand yoga program was organized in the stadium of Tilak Mahavidyalaya. Pratibha Shukla, Minister of State, Government of Uttar Pradesh, who was present as the chief guest in the program, participated in Yoga. On this occasion, District Magistrate PC Srivastava, ADM Rekha S Chauhan, many officers of the district and city dignitaries besides students, teachers, children and women were present in large numbers.
On this occasion, the yoga program done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Mysore Palace Garden in Karnataka was also telecast live which was seen by the people present. On this occasion, the Minister Pratibha Shukla and District Officer Auraiya also apprised the people about the importance of Yoga and while wishing the residents of the district on the occasion of Yoga Day, said that Yoga is very important to stay healthy in life. Explaining the importance of yoga, he said that we have to keep our health healthy by adopting yoga. Include it in your daily routine. He said that Yoga is the gift of our country, which has been adopted by other countries in the world today, as a result of which International Yoga Day is organized on 21st June. Realizing the importance of yoga, yoga is being promoted all over the world.
