Yoga Festival concludes in Triple IT

Prayagraj, 24 June (H.S.). On the occasion of 8th International Yoga Day, the five-day Yoga Festival organized at Indian Institute of Information Technology, Prayagraj concluded at Jhalwa campus on Friday. The Surya Namaskar competition was concluded in the last session. In which people from all sections of the institute participated with full enthusiasm.

During this five-day festival, all the people of the institute participated in one and a half hour yogasana session every day. In which Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Trikonasana, Infant Asana, Hastapad Asana, Nadi Shodhana, Surya Namaskar, Pranayama and Meditation were done. Art of Living teacher Dr. Komal Jaiswal introduced everyone to the various dimensions of Yoga at the Yoga Mahotsav. He told yoga not just to do asanas but to develop the whole personality. Which gives energy, joy and enthusiasm to the person. 22 people participated in Surya Namaskar competition, in which Ayushi won first place, Himanshu, Birender Sharma jointly second and Akhilesh Tiwari and Akhilesh Mishra won third prize.

Dr. Sanjay Singh Program Coordinator said on the occasion that similar programs would continue in the episode of Yoga Mahotsav. A two day session of Heartfulness is starting from tomorrow. Pro. Shekhar Verma, Dean shared his experiences about the positive aspects of Yoga. Pro. Students, teachers, officers and employees of the institute including Pawan Kumar Chakraborty, Dr. Akhilesh Tiwari, Dr. PK Saini, Pankaj Mishra, Dr. Mithilesh, Rajendra Bisht, Pankaj Srivastava were involved.
