The 13 TB (Tuberculosis) champions of the district, made in the direction of making the country tuberculosis free by the year 2025, are now going to the community and making people aware of the eradication of the disease. They are also helping patients suffering from tuberculosis in their treatment. All TB champions are now pasting posters of TB champions at TB units, district hospitals and community and primary health centers.

District Tuberculosis Officer Dr. Rahul Singh gave this information on Thursday. He told that the main message in the poster is ‘Jung to Jeeti TB Se, Kuch Kho Ke Hum Paaya Hai’. Became TB champions, now the spirit of help has awakened. Along with this, his phone number has also been written in the poster, so that if a TB patient is in trouble, he can remove the problem by speaking his mind to the TB Champions. Dr. Rahul Singh said that in the past, training has been given to all the TB champions of the district, so that along with the treatment and cooperation of TB patients, they can change the behavior of the community as well.

He said that the treatment of TB is possible, if it is treated at the right time and if medicines are taken on time, TB patients can easily recover. There are still many misconceptions about TB in the society. To dispel these misconceptions and boost the morale of TB patients, TB champions in the district are sharing their experiences. He is telling them that the treatment of TB is possible. Along with this, TB patients and their family members are being told in detail about the risks, treatment etc.

District PPM coordinator Naman Gupta said that the number and name of TB champions have been written on TB unit, district hospital and CHC-PHC by putting posters of TB champions of that area. By calling the TB Champions on that number, you can get information about TB including medicine, among other things. This will encourage TB patients and help them to recover. TB champion Dhananjay Kumar told that long ago I had tuberculosis, but with regular and complete medicine intake and nutritious diet, I defeated TB. Helping active TB patients as TB champion after full recovery. He says that his experience helps him a lot in screening and counseling TB patients. Positive behavior of people is also being seen.
