Uttar Pradesh: Woman throws acid, chilli powder on husband over domestic harassment
Bareilly: In a shocking incident, a woman allegedly threw acid along with chilli powder on her husband after he was slapped. The husband has been admitted to the district hospital after suffering more than 40 per cent burns and is undergoing treatment. A doctor from the district hospital said, “The man has suffered burns in several parts of his body but his condition is stable.”
According to reports, husband Mohammad Yasin is an alcoholic and often used to beat up his wife and four-year-old daughter. Two days back he returned home and started abusing his wife Farha. When she resisted, he beat her up.
After a while, when he fell asleep, the wife mixed chili powder with acid and poured it on the husband.
A police officer said, “Following a complaint from the man’s family, an FIR has been registered against Farha under IPC section 326 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means). When he is able to speak and act according to law, we will record his statement. Farha along with her daughter is missing after the incident.
