Moradabad, 25 January (Hindustan). A series of four vehicles collided near the Ramganga bridge on the Delhi-Lucknow highway in Katghar police station area in the early hours today. Twenty passengers including three policemen were injured in the accident. Amidst chaos, the injured were treated at the district hospital.

Katghar police station in-charge Rajesh Solanki said that an unknown vehicle hit a pickup vehicle going from Moradabad to Rampur in the early hours of Wednesday. The speeding pickup overturned in the accident. Only then a DCM also came from behind. The DCM hit the pickup vehicle. On the information of the accident, the PRV vehicle of the police reached the spot. Policemen posted on PRV engaged in removing vehicles from the road. Then the roadways bus of Brass City Depot going from Moradabad to Rampur rammed into both the vehicles.

Twenty people, including three policemen, were injured in the collision of the roadways bus. The police department lost sleep due to the information about the serial accident. Within no time, the police of Katghar, Kundarki, Pakbada and Moondhapande police stations reached the spot. In a hurry, the injured were sent to private and district hospitals. Injured Nirmal Singh, Diwan Singh, Horam Singh, Veer Pal, Arvind, Shiv Kumar, Avnish, Mukesh, Jitendra, Sher Bahadur, Rajni Kant, Dharmendra, Sunita, Jyoti wife Dharmendra, Jyoti daughter Sher Bahadur, Aarti, Kavya, Shivansh and Ruchi Has been admitted to the district hospital. Seeing the critical condition of constables Horam Singh, Diwan Singh and Nirmal Singh, the doctors referred all three. The treatment of all three policemen is going on at Cosmos Hospital. The station in-charge said that all the injured are out of danger.
