Painters made paintings of Jaray’s monastery on World Heritage Week

Jhansi, 25 November (His). Under the World Heritage Week, Srijan The Drawing and Painting Club of Bundelkhand University and Kala Sopan along with the students of Lalit Kala Sansthan visited Jaray Ka Math on Friday and made a painting of the Math.

Program coordinator Dr. Shweta Pandey said that the aim of Srijan The Drawing and Painting Club is to inculcate interest in fine arts among the students. The club is discharging its role in organizing its scheduled activities. This painting program was organized in collaboration with Kala Sopan Jhansi.

Co-coordinator of Srijan Club, Dr. Umesh said that Srijan Club has been working in the past also to make masterpieces of historical places. Ajanta Ellora excursion and exhibition and other activities have been organized under the club. It is notable that Bundelkhand University has formed clubs for the overall development of the students. These clubs are working to enhance the talents of the students in other fields like cultural, literary, creative, photography. Nandani Kushwaha, Megha Kushwaha, Niketa, Aladdin, Satyam Solanki, Suraj, Kamini, Swati, Rajendra Kaur Sodhi, Devi and others were present in the historic site painting program organized on World Heritage Day today.
