Now Aligarh Muslim University will give education of Sanatan Dharma
Aligarh Muslim University will now also teach Sanatan Dharma. After praising PM Modi in the virtual ceremony organized under the centenary year celebrations of AMU, now the Department of Islamic Studies has moved towards the study of Sanatan Dharma. The department is now going to start a new course, through which the students will also be taught about Sanatan Dharma.
The chairman of the Department of Islamic Studies, AMU, said that a comparative religion course is now being started in the department. Through this course, the students of graduation and post graduation will be made to study Sanatan Dharma. Along with this, knowledge of different religions will also be given.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the chief guest at the virtual function organized as part of the centenary year celebrations of AMU. Meanwhile, the PM praised the Islamic Studies department of AMU. PM Modi said that foreign students should be made aware of Indian culture. Under which the department is now starting a new course called Comparative Religion.
Course will start from next academic session
In this course, students will also be taught about Sanatan Dharma and other religions. College officials say that the course will be started in the department from the next academic session. This has been discussed in the Board of Study and Academic Council. Now the seal is pending.
