Meerut, 25 January (Hindustan). On the occasion of National Voters’ Day, a program was organized at the commissioner’s office on Wednesday. Commissioner Selva Kumari J. Said that everyone should exercise their franchise for the strength of democracy.

As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the thirteenth National Voters’ Day of the nation was celebrated on Wednesday. Addressing the program in the Commissioner’s Office of Meerut Division, Commissioner Selva Kumari J. Said to motivate yourself and the people around you to exercise your franchise. Ask the youth who have turned 18 to get their identity cards made.

The commissioner administered the voter’s day oath to all the officers and employees. The oath was taken as follows: “We the citizens of India, having full faith in democracy, take this oath that we will uphold the dignity of the democratic traditions of our country and keep intact the dignity of free, fair and peaceful elections, fearlessly shall exercise his right to vote at all elections without being influenced by religion, class, caste, community, language or any other inducement.”

Additional Commissioner Praveena, Additional Commissioner Mahendra Prasad etc. were present on this occasion.
