Mathura: Injured miscreant arrested in police encounter, accomplice absconding

Mathura, 02 August (H.C.). The police had an encounter with two miscreants who were stealing 9 bundles of wire from JBM factory in Kosikalan police station post Kotwan industrial area in the early hours of Tuesday. In the meanwhile, a soldier was injured in the firing. One miscreant was also injured in the bullet. One of the miscreants managed to escape.

In the industrial area located in Kotwan, Dev Singh son Ratnala resident of village Khamani police station Hasanpur district Palwal and Bamni Kheda Palwal resident of Anil were carrying the theft wire. These wires were stolen from JBM factory. On information, the police caught both of them with nine bundles of wires. On this, the miscreants attacked the police with sharp weapons and opened fire. Constable Shailendra was injured in this. The police also retaliated. Dev Singh got injured due to bullet injury in the right leg. The miscreant Anil fled taking advantage of the darkness. The search is on for the accused Anil. Constable Shailendra and crook Dev Singh have been admitted to the district hospital.

Additional Superintendent of Police Shrish Chandra said that the police was patrolling in the early hours of Tuesday. During this, two youths were stealing goods from the front of JBM company. When stopped by the police, opened fire. In retaliation, the police also opened fire. In which Dev Singh got shot in the right leg. After this the police laid siege. The thieves were arrested along with the goods. Meanwhile, a constable has also been injured, both of whom are being treated at the district hospital.
