Kanpur, May 11 (H.S.). BJP MLA Surendra Maithani has written a letter to Kanpur Divisional Commissioner, District Magistrate and Principal Secretary of Public Works Department, Public Works Minister and Chief Minister against two executive engineers of Public Works Department. The MLA has alleged that both the executive engineers are involved in corruption and the public is complaining equally. A list of construction work done by both the engineers has also been provided, where corruption has taken place. Along with this, a demand has also been made to investigate the assets of the income of both.
The MLA wrote in the letter that the Executive Engineer of Public Works Department, Kanpur Nagar, S.P. Complaints of Ojha and Mukesh Chandra Sharma are coming to me regularly. Talks were also held with both the engineers on phone several times regarding the complaints of the public, but every time some excuse was made and they are equally involved in corruption. In his letter, the MLA has also submitted a list of construction works done by both the engineers where corruption has been committed. It is also alleged that in the course of commission, advance payment is made to the contractors. Due to which the contractors are working against the standard and I personally inspected in which the complaints of the public cannot be termed as false.
The MLA said that there is a complaint from the general public about them that they are doing corruption indiscriminately without any fear and are working against the standards. Due to this, our people and our party and our government are getting defamed because of them unnecessarily. He further said that it appears that he has crossed all limits of dignity. If the property disproportionate to their income is investigated, then all the truth will come out and the poor people will also get justice.
