Kushinagar: Youth burnt alive by sprinkling petrol on wife and children, woman dies
Kushinagar, June 24 (H.S.). Husband burnt his wife and two children alive by sprinkling petrol in Fard Mundera village of Kaptanganj on Thursday. On the information of the people of the village, the police took the three by ambulance to the hospital, where the doctors referred the medical college to Gorakhpur, stating that the condition was serious. The doctors of the medical college declared the woman dead after examination. Children are undergoing treatment. The husband is absconding after the incident.
Ramsamujh, 45, of Mundera village, had a fight with his wife Subhavati two days ago over some issue. Then he threatened to burn his wife and children alive. On Thursday evening, Ramsamujh returned home drunk and started beating his wife. Hearing the noise, the people around intervened and pacified the matter. Cooked food at night and took it to her husband, but she did not eat it.
Fearing her husband, Subhavati slept with her children, 10-year-old Muskan and four-year-old Karan, closing the door of the room from inside. Around 12 o’clock in the night, Ramsamujh set fire to the window by spraying petrol. Hearing the cries of all three, the people around came. People put out a lot of effort and brought the fire under control and informed the police. With the help of an ambulance, the police took all three to CHC Kaptanganj, from where all three were sent to the medical college. According to the villagers, Ramsamujh works as a laborer. and addicted to drugs.
SP Dhaval Jaiswal said that a bottle and match were found outside the room, which have been taken into custody. The police is on the lookout for the accused husband, soon he will be arrested.
