Implementation of order to make Hazratganj free of e-rickshaw

Lucknow, May 13 (H.S.). Police Commissioner DK Thakur issued an order to make Hazratganj free of e-rickshaws to relieve people from the problem of jam in the capital. Following the orders of the Commissioner of Police, the policemen are stopping e-rickshaws on major roads including Hazratganj.

Lakhs of vehicles move daily on the routes coming from Wallington Square, Bandariabagh Square, Secunderabad Square, Parivartan Chowk towards Hazratganj Square (Atal Chowk). Hazratganj is recognized as a VVIP area and is also the focal point of the day-to-day activities. Concern was expressed in Hazratganj over the increase in pollution level in the past and only then a plan was made to run a campaign to get rid of jams and encroachments to keep the vehicles moving without stopping.

Recently, under the plan to build a smart city, DK Thakur, the Police Commissionerate of Police Commissionerate Lucknow, took note of the survey of Hazratganj and after that took the decision to stop the operation of e-rickshaws. The halting of e-rickshaw drivers in Hazratganj has been creating a jam situation and at the same time the smoke coming out of the long queue of vehicles also spreads air pollution.

Apart from Hazratganj, E-rickshaws have been banned from Bandaria Bagh to Polytechnic Square, Amausi Crossroads to Baravirwa, Ahimamau to Lalbatti Square, Shaheed Path, Badshah Bagh Square to Polytechnic Square, Amausi Mor to Munshi Police and also on routes around the High Court. Is.
