Give impetus to Skill India Mission: Anandiben Patel

Lucknow, May 13 (H.S.). Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel has appealed to speed up the Skill India Mission. The Governor said that the new education policy is capable of taking the new generation towards a golden future.

The Governor participated in the 15th International Education and Skill Development Summit organized by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) in New Delhi. In his address, Anandiben Patel said that the way the dignitaries associated with the ASSOCHAM organization are contributing to the industrial development of the country, in the same way they should contribute significantly in increasing the skill development of the youth. Today in every field the youth of India are moving ahead to wave their flag.

Expressing happiness, the Governor said that the organization ASSOCHAM is working towards the upliftment of Indian industry and business activities as well as in the field of education, especially higher education. He said that for India to provide a smart and skilled labor solution to the world, it should be at the core of the skilling strategy of our youth. With technology changing rapidly, the demand for skilled people will increase rapidly in the coming years. Therefore, our youth should continuously try to improve their skills further. Make yourself and the country self-reliant through youth skill development.

The Governor said that in the new education policy, along with bookish knowledge, emphasis has been laid on the initiation of students through vocational and skill education courses in school and higher education. He expressed confidence that the new education policy is capable of taking the new generation towards a golden future. Therefore, educational institutions should give priority to skill development of students and prepare them for entrepreneurship.

On this occasion, UGC Chairman Professor MJ Kumar, AICTE Chairman Professor Anil D.
