Flight service between Janakpur-Ayodhya is being considered
Lucknow, May 14 (H.S.). Initiatives have started in the direction of starting flight service between Janakpur and Ayodhya in Nepal. A delegation of officials led by Virendra Bahadur Basnet, managing director of Nepal’s aviation company Buddha Air Private Limited, met Navneet Sehgal, Additional Chief Secretary (Information) at Lok Bhavan on Saturday, in the context of the proposal to start flight service between Janakpur and Ayodhya. A letter has been handed in.
The letter mentioned by Buddha Air that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had started direct flight service between Varanasi and Kathmandu in the year 2018. Because of that, the pilgrims coming for the darshan of Baba Vishwanath and Baba Pashupatinath got a lot of benefit. Along with this, tourism got a boost in both the countries. Relations between the two countries further intensified.
It is further written in the letter that the flight service was suspended during the Corona epidemic. After getting permission from the department, the flight service is starting again from 23 May 2022. The people of Nepal have a special attachment to Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Rama. For us also Ayodhya is the center of faith.
Buddha Air wants to start flight service between Janakpur and Ayodhya, the birthplace of Mother Sita. For this, the company’s Managing Director Virendra Bahadur Basnet also requested to meet Chief Minister Yogi. Apart from this, the possibilities of air service from major destinations of Nepal to Haridwar and other places were also discussed with the Additional Chief Secretary. Apart from Buddha Air Manager Uddhav Suvedi, the delegation included Station Managers Vineet Shah Sujan Sijapati and Hunar Suvedi etc.
