Court orders to stop salary of Lakhimpur Kheri police officer
Moradabad, 25 January (Hindustan). Moradabad’s Additional District and Sessions Judge III has ordered to stop the salary of the investigation officer for not appearing in the court even after serving the summons on Wednesday. The investigation officer is at present the jurisdictional officer of Dhaurehra circle of Lakhimpur Kheri district.
On July 31, 2008, Mohammad Farooq Khan, a resident of Seelpur village, filed a case in Moradabad’s Kundarki police station. In this, he told that he was returning home on his motorcycle. Elder brother Salahuddin Khan was also walking in front of him on his motorcycle. In front of Nanpur School, near Bhatta, three unknown people suddenly came on a motorcycle and shot Salahuddin. In a hurry, the injured Salahuddin was brought to the district hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. The investigation of this case was done by the then jurisdictional officer Pritam Pal Singh. At present he is the jurisdictional officer of Dhaurehra circle of Lakhimpur Kheri. This matter is under consideration in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge III Saroj Kumar Yadav.
Additional District Government Advocate Manish Bhatnagar said that summons were issued several times by the court to Pritampal Singh, the arbitrator of the case. He also got the summons served but still he did not appear in the court to present the evidence. In view of this disobedience, the court has ordered the District Magistrate Lakhimpur Kheri to immediately freeze the salary of Circle Officer Pritam Pal Singh.
