Chitrakoot, 25 January (Hindustan). A case has been registered against SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya and Bihar Education Minister Chandrashekhar Singh at Rajapur police station in connection with the indecent remarks made on Ramcharitmanas. The people of Rajapur (Chitrakoot), the birthplace of Saint Shiromani Goswami Tulsidas, the author of Ramcharit Manas in the past, have a lot of resentment about this. The local people protested for about nine hours. After this, a report has been lodged in Rajapur police station.

The Tapobhoomi of Lord Shriram is the birthplace of Goswami Tulsidas ji, the author of Ramcharit Manas in Rajapur of Chitrakoot. Bihar’s Education Minister Chandrashekhar Singh and former UP minister Swami Prasad Maurya had made indecent comments on Ramcharit Manas. There has been an uproar in the entire state regarding this.

Earlier, Shri Tulsi Peethadhishwar Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Maharaj lashed out at both the leaders who commented on Ramcharit Manas. After this, in Rajapur, the birthplace of Tulsidas, several Hindu organizations along with hundreds of people staged a sit-in demonstration in the tehsil premises, not only burnt the effigies of the two leaders, but also demanded action. After this they sat on dharna.

Social worker Anuj Hanumat Dwivedi, who was involved in the protest, has alleged in the Rajapur police station that the way the Education Minister of Bihar, Prof. Chandrashekhar Singh has made controversial remarks regarding Ramcharitmanas, due to which the religious sentiments of crores of Hindus have been hurt.

Senior advocate Anuj Shukla said that Swami Prasad Maurya’s controversial statement on the cattle of Shri Ramcharit Manas is a proof of his mental weakness and ignorance. Rashtriya Hindu Sangathan Chitrakoot District President Pushpendra Kumar Tripathi has strongly condemned the wrong statements of both the leaders.

On the other hand, after sitting on dharna for about nine hours, the administration reached the spot and ended the protest by assuring the protesters of action. Ramashray Pujari ji, priest Tulsi Janmakutir Vishnukant Chaturvedi, District President of Atal Janshakti Annu Mishra, journalist Anil Devraha and hundreds of people participated in the protest demonstration.

Rajapur Police Station President Dipendra Singh said that Bihar’s Education Minister Professor Chandrashekhar Singh and UP’s SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya had given controversial statements regarding Ramcharitmanas. A Tahrir has been received in this matter, on the basis of which a case has been registered and the matter is being investigated.
