CSA scientists presented excellent research papers in international conference

Kanpur, 23 January (Hindustan Times). Concerned scientists from all over the country participated in the International Conference on Vegetable Oils held in Hyderabad. Scientists of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agricultural Technology (CSA) presented their excellent research papers in this conference. Along with this, information about the species of various oilseed crops developed by CSA so far regarding vegetable oils was also given.

Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, Dr. Mehak Singh, director of seed and field, told that the International Conference of Vegetable Oils 2020-23 Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, Indian Society of Oilseeds Research, Hyderabad and Indian Institute of Soybean Indore under the joint auspices of Indian Oilseeds Research The institute was organized at Hyderabad (Telangana). 18 different sessions were organized in this five-day conference. In which online and offline participation was done by eminent scientists on mustard, mustard, soybean, sunflower, egg, linseed, niger and oilseed trees. And giving information about multi-dimensional research regarding increasing the availability of vegetable food grains oil in the country, a detailed discussion was also held about the quality of oils and less use of oils.

In this international conference, Dr. Mangla Rai, former Director General, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, Dr. Arvind Kumar, former Vice-Chancellor, Central Agricultural University, Jhansi, Manish Shah, Chairman, National Dairy Development, Manoj Ahuja, Director, Rural Development, Government of India, Assistant Director General Oilseeds, ICAR and Valuable lectures were delivered by Dr. Sanjeev Gupta and Director of Oilseeds Institute, Hyderabad, Dr. RK Mathur and other dignitaries.

The major attraction point of this international conference was the International Satellite Symposium on Mustard Seed. In which Dr. Mehak Singh, Professor of Agricultural University, Project Leader Rye-Mustard and scientists from other country and abroad participated in this conference as a member of the team and a detailed discussion was held on Rye Mustard Oil. It was told by Mehak Singh that the first species Aarti 11 was developed by the Kanpur Institute in the year 1936 and from the year 1936 to the year 2023, 33 species have been developed by the University and approved by the Government of India for the production of parent seed. In this conference, the entomologists of the university, Dr. DK Singh and Prabhakar Tiwari made their presentation.
