Banda: Continuous rise in temperature due to increasing heat of sun, mercury crosses 47 degree Celsius

Banda, May 13 (H.S.). The fire raining from the sky in Banda district has broken the record of last 10 years of heat. The temperature in the month of May has crossed 47 degree Celsius. Last month also the temperature had reached 48 degrees. Due to the continuous increase in temperature, there is a continuous increase in the patients of heat stroke and diarrhea. Due to the scorching heat, there is silence on the roads. Customers are absent from the shops.

Due to the large number of mountains in Bundelkhand, there is a scorching heat every year, but this year April and May are getting record breaking heat. Last month, on April 29, the temperature had reached 47.7 and on April 30, 48 degree Celsius. After this the temperature started decreasing gradually but here for a week the temperature has remained around 45-46 degree Celsius. Due to which people are not getting relief from the heat. Here, on Friday, the weather became more severe. Since morning the temperature has been rising due to the heat of the sun and at 2 pm the temperature has crossed 47 degree Celsius, the minimum temperature was recorded at 28 degree Celsius.

Due to the rise in temperature, hot winds scorched the body. To avoid this, people came out of the house with the help of a towel, cap or umbrella in the head. In the afternoon there was silence in the streets. Shops remained open in the markets but customers remained absent. In this regard, Dr Dinesh Saha, Meteorologist of Agricultural University said that the temperature had crossed 47 degree Celsius at 1.30 pm on Friday. He attributed the rise in temperature to the northwest wind.

He said that at present the wind speed is 120 km per hour. According to him, the moisture in the air has ended due to the Eastern Disturbance. Due to which there is no hope of getting relief from the heat for the time being. If it rains during this time, then only there can be relief.
