Lucknow, 25 January (Hindustan Times). The second evening of the three-day festival being celebrated in the capital Lucknow on Uttar Pradesh Day was named after Bhojpuri superstar Nirahua. When Nirhua came to the ongoing function in Avadh Shilp Gram, people started shouting Nirhua-Nirhua from the cultural pandal.

When MP Dineshlal Yadav Nirhua came down from the stage in a bright blue suit, he started with his favorite bhajan ‘Man ki tarang man lo bas ho gayi, bhajan aadat bad reform lo bas ho gayi bhajan…’ The next song he sang was Nai Jhulni Ke Chaiya Balam Dophariya… Gaya To Log Jhoomne Lage from his film Nirhua Hindustani film. After this, the female partner again sang the song ‘Kahe tose sajna…’. On the request of the audience, the series of songs continued like this.

Diwakar Dwivedi of Ayodhya, who came before him from Mumbai, started with Manas ki Chaupaiyaan, presenting Awadhi folk songs with Badal. Sweet sweet Sarjuji felt watery…. And when all four brothers play in Anganaiya…. Like recited songs. Veteran artist Mahendranath sang a self-composed song on black salt rice.
